Area Transportation Independent Contractors see Insurance Premiums Go Down

safety pays

ADS LOGISTICS CO, LLC recently completed its annual property and casualty insurance renewal and its Area Transportation Independent Contractors experienced a rare occurrence these days.  Their premiums for optional Occupational Accident, Physical Damage and Non-trucking liability (bobtail) insurances all went down.

Director of Safety, Kevin Mullen said “these decreases are due primarily, of course, to the loss history our independent contractors have achieved over the past year and beyond. Coupled with an excellent loss history across the Company’s other lines our insurers had little choice but to pass their savings along to our hard working independent contractors”, he said.

Area Transportation recently unveiled a new pay program #SAFETYPAYS which increases Company driver’s base pay for accident-free driving history and low CSA scores. We are looking at ways to modify our independent contractor bonus programs to reward them along the same criteria.

“We recognize safety as a core value and all these recent developments only serve to underscore this”, said Mullen. Safe, professional driving has driven down our insurance costs and ultimately our independent contractors costs. How rare is that this day and age with everything else at near record highs?”

Area Transportation strives to be the most driver friendly carrier in the industry.  We are attempting to put into practice the notion that every day is Driver Appreciation Day at Area Transportation.

Safe, professional Company drivers and Independent Contractors with prior steel hauling experience are encouraged to apply at www.adslogistics.com.
