The Inventory Tracking Process

Both Roll & Hold and Western Intermodal use RF scanning technology to manager and track inventory in their warehouses.  Upon receipt of material, the bar code on the material is scanned. If material does not have a bar code, a tag is created and placed on the material.  Once material is unloaded and placed on the floor in a warehouse the material is scanned again along with the bay location.  This information is sent to our Warehouse Management System, which is available to our customers for viewing via our website at anytime, day or night, from any computer.  When material leaves the warehouse it is again scanned along with the truck information and updated in our system.
